Child Care Resolutions
We’re a couple of weeks into the new year, but there is still plenty of time to make resolutions and goals for your program. Here are somethings that you might consider working towards in 2019:
Earn or Increase your SUTQ rating. If you aren’t rated yet, what are you waiting for?! Sign up for our Step Up to Quality Express starting on January 26th and we can help you earn your one star rating in 3 quick visits. If you are already rated our specialists are happy to work with you to create a personalized plan to increase your rating!
Complete your required training hours. The biennium ends June 30th of 2019, don’t wait until the last minute to complete your professional development requirements. Whether you need 6 hours for regular licensing or 20+ hours for Step Up to Quality, we have plenty of training opportunities available!
Attend the Business Success Summit. This is quickly becoming a “must attend” event. If you are a program owner or administrator make sure to take advantage of 2 days of professional development designed just for you. In addition to 10 hours of Ohio Approved training you will also get breakfast and lunch provided by the Hilton Garden Inn both days, access to local business resources, valuable networking, great conference swag, and the chance to win a ton of prizes!
Encourage staff to register for CDA. The CDA credential is considered “the best first step” towards advancing your understanding of child development and early childhood education. The YWCA’s CDA program offers Ohio Approved training hours in addition to portfolio creation and exam prep. We can also help you connect with a PD Specialist and complete TEACH Scholarship applications. The training hours and completion of the credential will have an amazing impact on career path levels and professionalism.
Host ACT training for parents. Help your families strengthen their parenting skills while meeting your SUTQ family education requirements when you host an ACT training. Contact one of our Outreach Parent Specialists today to schedule your event.

Visit the CCR&R Resource Library. Check out a prop box to introduce your students to something new, laminate classroom materials, put together a class book with our binding machine, or cut out materials for a new classroom bulletin board. Call the YWCA CCR&R to make an appointment today.
